the model does not look at all comfortable

London Collections Men January 2013 have just taken place in Somerset House in the Strand and at other venues; over 150 designers showed their clothes. Some models towed dogs, and some models’ heads had surrealistic artwork over their faces.

Clothes were generally whacky, and orange was the most popular colour, just as it was for women last autumn. Tartan was in vogue and so were brightly coloured shoes including pink. Androgynous outfits were numerous, and last year Alexa Chung bought a man's outfit from TMD SS12. What used to be called handkerchiefs, now pocket-squares, were also featured in bright colours and designs. Some models also wore head-bands. Vivienne Westwood's designs as always stood out.
