Max Keiser: "the most widely watched news commentator on the planet". The Independent interview/Robert Chalmers. Banksters and the Cacistocracy. Predictions including the collapse of the British economy.

No man is a prophet in his own country.

Ignore this man at your peril.

Max Keiser is an outrageous American ex-stockbroker who fearlessly broadcasts on international finance, exposing corruption wherever he finds it. He has made accurate predictions on a host of subjects, listed here by enwiki.

  • "In the September 2004 issue of The Ecologist magazine, Keiser correctly predicted the 2008 collapse of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac when he wrote, "My guess is that the two stocks that look the likeliest to implode at the hands of derivative-wielding Wall Street financial types (and other fundamentalists) preying on a US economy made weak by cheap money are Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac."
  • In 2006 he correctly predicted that sub-prime mortgage-backed securities would be the cause of recession by 2008.
  • In 2007 he correctly predicted the break-down of Iceland's economy in 2008.
In his Keiser Report in October 2011, he re-stated his previous prediction that Germany would return to the Deutsche Mark".

Max Keiser moved to the UK a year and a half ago with his co-presenter Stacy Herbert, who is also his fiancee. He explained his reasons for the move to Robert Chalmers of The Independent in an important interview in November 2012:

"I came to London because being here gives you a front-row seat on the imminent collapse of an entire city. I think that the Eurozone is over-rated as a disaster area. They are not yet in as bad shape as Britain. The UK pound is about to collapse. And the collapse of the British economy will be one of the biggest in modern economic history. Of course you will take the American dollar and the euro down with you, for sure. But this place – London – is about to go belly up".

In the same article Chalmers wrote: "No channel in the United States will carry his broadcasts.. You may never have heard the name Max Keiser, even though, once he begins to broadcast across China in the New Year, he will have confirmed his status as the most widely watched news commentator on the planet".

During the interview Keiser pronounced on everyone from the president down:

"Barack Obama has been a huge disappointment. He reneged on every one of his campaign promises except one: he did buy his kids a dog."

Keiser stated that Hank Paulson, the US former Treasury Secretary and CEO of Goldman Sachs was a traitor:

"There is a revolving door for Goldman Sachs guys into and out of US government. And they are working against the sovereign interest of the United States".

Keiser presents the Keiser Report three times a week for RT, the former Russia Today, which has 450 million viewers, and On the Edge for Iran's Press TV. He presents The Truth About Markets every week on the radio for London's Resonance FM on 104.4. He has also broadcast on France 24, The Oracle on BBC World News and the People & Power series for Al Jazeera. He is widely watched on YouTube. He writes for the Huffington Post and has a wide following on his blog.

Timothy Maxwell Keiser, 53, studied theatre at New York University, worked as a street magician on Broadway and then at Paine Webber, a brokerage firm on Wall Street. Watching his shows there is indeed an element of theatre and magic. He has a good turns of phrase, calling bankers banksters and the cacistocracy:  "rule by the worst, the most ignorant, and the most corrupt".

Keiser and Stacey are an engaging duo, and Keiser speaks at a rate of knots, with grasp and knowledge of whatever topic. He is tousle-headed  and ebullient despite his chilling predictions about the collapse of the British economy, the American dollar and the euro.
